about me,
Franziska Neusser:
I love nature and implement my impressions with great care in my jewelry.
Traditional working methods and timeless design unite in my jewelry.
Every day is precious and so I handcraft jewelry one-of-a-kind.
Each piece of jewelry is designed by me and handmade in Vienna.
Moments of happiness from nature transformed into wearable jewelry art.
One of my professions is that of a textile designer. In the time in which I learned this profession, the subject 'art history' was one of my favorite subjects. Gustav Klimt painted patterned areas in his landscape paintings and put these patterned areas together to form pictures of a landscape. I found this method exciting, only I didn't want to become a painter.
After graduating from school, I learned glass blowing at the kiln. Glass is a wonderful material. The color properties are very diverse, glass can be transparent (opal), opaque (opaque), iridescent (lustrated), shiny, matte, - in an incredible number of colors. The love of glass has been established in this period, work on the furnace, however, not.
In Art Nouveau in Vienna, Wiener Werkstätte, Viennese Modernism, the traditional technique of crocheting Bohemian glass beads into jewelry was fashionable. This technique of jewelry making fascinates me. Here I have the opportunity to combine my skills as a textile designer, as well as my love for the material glass. Tube-shaped I can develop three-dimensional patterns, wonderful.
Another remarkable aspect is the fact that you can take your favorite piece of jewelry at any time and carry it with you. Having beautiful things with you and being able to look at them at any time brings a lot of joy.
The idea of making unique jewelry was born. It took only three years until I showed my first jewelry in public. I am fond of detail and pay close attention to particularly accurate handwork.
With much love I design contemporary jewelry unique and perform each piece of jewelry in pure handwork in Vienna.
